It’s your thermostat, of course. The thermostat controls both the heating and
cooling systems of homes in the Elgin area with central heat and air

Here are some signs that your thermostat is going bad –
1. Set yours about 5
degrees higher and see if it kicks on.
2. Make sure it is
set to heat and not cool. You’d be
surprised.
3. Switch the circuit
breaker to off then back on.
4. Check the wires to
make sure they are securely attached.
Beyond this, it gets a lot more complicated such as
unscrewing wires and wrapping them together.
