It is time to once again remind you that the most intense
rainstorm in Fox Valley history came in July (1996). Who can say when it will happen again? During a storm it is obviously important that
excess water is pumped away from your home to avoid property damage. That means sump pumps and back-up systems.
This summer, if we happen to have a lengthy power outage, a
sump pump that includes a battery back-up system can be a real life saver and
prevent water damage. Here is something to remember if you live in the Elgin
area…if you have a sink or perhaps a toilet in your basement located beneath
the sewer line, then you probably have or need a sewage ejector pump.
Hopefully, before any disastrous flooding occurs in the far
Northwest Suburbs you will think of Tom’s Plumbing they have helped keep the
greater Elgin, Bartlett, Streamwood area “high and dry” for decades. Waiting until AFTER a major rainstorm such as
we had in 1996 (look it up) may be too late!
